Fr. Sappington grew up in Peculiar, MO. He attended Missouri S&T and graduated in 2015 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He worked for an engineering consulting firm in Kansas City one year, and during that time began to pray and heard a call to the priesthood. Fr. Sappington attended Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in Shrewsbury, MO for two years of philosophy studies before being assigned to study at the Pontifical North American College and the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, in Rome, Italy. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 25, 2022.
